Stylized Toy Cannon Bubble Blaster

This 3D cannon bubble shooter has a rounded and cartoonish style and simple geometric shapes. This model was created using Blender, then texture mapped on Substance Painter using fun arcade-themed decals with awesome PBR materials and optimized to run fast on Unreal Engine. It is ready to be used as a collectible item in-game, or as an accessory to a character, or as an interactive prop in stylized/arcade-type video games.

Process

The concept for planning was the first phase of the creativity process to build the Stylized Toy Cannon Bubble Blaster. This phase focused on creating a cartoon-like appearance with rounded shapes and child-friendly proportions. The design for component assembly was constructed in Blender, using clean topology and optimized geometry to give the model proper real-time rendering performance. Further, the shape of each piece was kept simple while maintaining the visual characteristics of the object. Before applying the object texture and detailing the visual appeal of the object, UV maps were created for the component parts so that PBR materials and entertaining decals could be applied with high levels of detail onto the component parts. 

Following the visual design of the componentstexturing was completed with Substance Painter using bright, colorful, arcade-like paint and decals to create visual texture elements on top of the base model. Final testing of the prop was performed after all aspects of the components had been completed, confirming the overall functionality within a game environment.  

Incredible 3D asset with a perfectly clean topological structure and smooth-running qualities within the Unreal Engine. The texturing and material clarity are fantastic.
